LPSC Abstracts
Abstracts for the Lunar and Planetary Sciences Conference are now online. The 36th LPSC will be held in Clear Lake, Texas between March 14 and 18. I will be in attendance presenting a poster. Below are some links to a few interesting abstracts. The sessions pertaining to Saturn's moons are Cassini at Saturn I, Cassini II, Cassini III, and Cassini at Saturn: Titan, Saturn, Rings, Icy Satellites.
- Processing ISS images of Titan's Surface by Perry et al. Okay, a little bit of self-promotion. Sue me. Basically, I describe how I process ISS images of Titan's surface in a step-by-step fashion.
- Theoretical Calculations of Sediment Transport on Titan, and the Possible Production of Streamlined Forms by Burr et al. I used to be housemates and a co-worker of the main author. She does quite a bit of work on streamlined forms in the Athabasca region of Mars and, after T0, I thought should might be a good person to show some intreguing stream forms to...
- Radar Reveals Titan Topography by Kirk et al. They interpret their bright-rimmed circular features as calderas!!! I so hope they are right :)
- Cryovolcanic Features on Titan's Surfaec as Revealed by the Cassini RADAR by Lopes et al. :D
- First Imaging Results from the Iapetus B/C Flyby of the Cassini Spacecraft by Denk et al.
